Roemen and The Whereabouts came together at the beginning of 2012. All 4 guys had played together, and apart, in different bands of all different styles from rock to jazz and from country to pop. Inspired by the recent rise of acts like Mayer Hawthorne and Fitz and The Tantrums as well as the love for the classics like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, this band sets out to do just that.
Motown, Retro Soul. This is some fresh stuff with old school flavor, old stuff with fresh flavor and something that these guys love doing......and doing with a passion! Between Mark, Tyler, Wayne and Chris there are thousands of shows and years of experience of playing around the country and the NW in front of crowds from small to big and anywhere from clubs to large corporate events. The song list keeps growing from artists like Stevie, Otis, Marvin, the Temptations, Commodores, Prince, Mayer, Hall and Oates, Al Green and then some of their own stuff in the same vein that fits like a glove. Oh, and don't forget the tambourines.....
